Strengthening the management of artisanal and industrial fisheries in the Gulf of Guinea
To ensure sustainable management of the fisheries and marine ecosystems of Gabon and the Republic of the Congo, one of the world’s most productive coastal and offshore fishing zones. This project is intended to protect sharks and rays, coastal dolphins, sea turtles, spiny lobster and shrimp, and other important marine species from overfishing, illegal harvest, indiscriminate bycatch, and finning.
