Objectif général

To conserve wildlife in Moukalaba Doudou National Park, Gabon, by strengthening gorilla-based ecotourism as a tool for protecting the ecological integrity of the park and involving local communities to manage natural resources. The project is intended to maintain the gorilla habituation process and strengthen capacities to promote and develop ecotourism in Moukalaba Doudou.
Objectif spécifique
Continuation of the habituation process for the Musiru gorilla group for eventual tourism;
Objectif spécifique
Recruitment of two volunteers to improve monitoring and evaluation of the Musiru group;
Objectif spécifique
Completion of a network of transects in the Douguetsi forest to enhance knowledge of gorilla movement patterns;
Objectif spécifique
Improvement of infrastructure for the gorilla habituation teams to enhance existing working conditions;
Objectif spécifique
Development of tourist guide capacity on crocodile capture, identification, and monitoring techniques.
