Protecting the largest known population of forest elephants in the Democratic Republic of Congo: Phase III
To support a conservation effort in the Okapi Faunal Reserve, northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo, by supporting ranger patrols and law enforcement. This project is intended to protect the country’s largest known population of forest elephants, estimated to at 1,700 individuals in 2011, from poaching and ivory trafficking.
