Strengthening capacity of national CITES authorities, customs and enforcement authorities to identify listed and protected species in Cameroon and the Republic of Congo
To support a conservation capacity development effort in Cameroon and the Republic of Congo by enabling national authorities to properly identify protected species and to enforce CITES. This project is intended to conserve CITES protected species by addressing the impacts of illegal wildlife crime more efficiently by ensuring the implementation of CITES by national authorities, customs, and enforcement officers and thereby increasing seizures of illegal specimens and decreasing wildlife crime.
