Objectif général
To conduct community-based patrols to protect nests and nesting females from poaching at Punta Ilende Natural Reserve (5 km), Rio Campo Natural Reserve (7 km), and Nendyi Scientific Reserve (4 km).

Providing a training seminar for 20 INDEFOR-AP participants on sea turtle biology and identification, data collection, field technology/equipment use, wildlife laws, enforcement procedures, and sea turtle conservation;

Patrolling nesting beaches throughout the nesting season and relocating eggs to hatcheries

Conducting outreach and education campaigns with local schools, fishermen, urban areas, and national authorities

Collecting data along the mainland’s coastline to assess levels of illegal harvesting and bycatch of marine turtles.
