Objectif général
To conduct patrols at Punta Illende Natural Reserve (5 km), Río Campo Natural Reserve (7 km) and Nendyi Scientific Reserve (4 km), while also supporting a variety of
training and outreach efforts. The project aims to reduce the threats of bycatch of turtles and of poaching to turtles and their nests.

Conducting a training seminar for 15 participants on sea turtle biology and identification, field technology/equipment use, wildlife laws, enforcement procedures, data collection, and sea turtle conservation,

Conducting outreach and education campaigns with local schools, fisherman, urban locations, and national authorities; and 3) collecting data on the mainland coastline to assess levels of harvesting and bycatch of marine turtles.
