Guiding National Park Protection Efforts via Aerial Surveillance

Objectif général

To support the Agence Nationale des Parcs Nationaux (Gabonese National Parks Agency, ANPN) and the Forestry Department through the provision of information on human activities gathered from aerial surveys. Flight plans cover bais, savannahs, marshes, park limits, and key access routes that result in GPS and high resolution geo-referenced photographs. Observation reports generated the same day seek to improve law enforcement capacity and increase protection of Gabon’s National Parks.
